They dont like to stay on! lol I have tried various methods of keeping them on. However on my way to work yesterday my left pod filter came off and the truck behind me ran it over. I went back and got the filter and tried to fix it so i can get to work. This didnt work. I ended up having to hold my hand over the carb to get the bike to run. Had to ride that way for about 10-15 miles. After work I got the smashed filter opened a bit and reinstalled. At least good enough to get the bike home. Id like to see the different kind of filters that you all are using. I know that i got mine off of ebay but i think i may want to try a different kind.

Is it a straight forward procedure fitting the jets required for the new pod filters? Haven't pulled a carby apart before and was wondering if it's a touchy job, any links on fitting them

Haven't pulled a carby apart before and was wondering if it's a touchy job, any links on fitting them You should try your filters first, you may not need to rejet. Some members have used them without rejetting. If you do need to rejet,it's a good idea to install a rebuild kit,(new float needle, idle mixture screw, and gaskets). That way everything is new & clean.Rebuilding is not hard, just take your time.do one carb at a time & don't separate the two carbs from the rack.
