So fill me in here. What is the purpose/benefit from installing these? -Mori It gets rid of that mess of hoses on top of your valve cover.The plates just make every thing neat & tidy.The Canadian models came with these from the factory.

Having just removed the seat, tank etc., I got a look at that plumbing and I think I'm gonna order that kit too. Thanks!

If the reed is the rubber thing I left it on, didn't see any harm in it and all I bought was the kit not the rubber seals they offer as well.
