hey fellas I got my bike all button up, starts up good idles good, sounds good, I just don't have any top end. On my first ride today I wasn't trying to break any land speed records or any thing, but it seems to go through the gears fast. top gear about 6000 rpm I was only doing 65. I really didn't wanna spin the bike up any higher than that. Its got some aftermarket pipes on it, They just look like lil glass packs, and they are loud, I got pod filters on it, I cut 2 coils outta the spring, It doesn't seems to bog down at all it seems to rev up quite fast, I'm going to run a couple tanks of fresh gas and seafoam through it before I do anything more to the carbs, but any insight will be much appreciated

Question for you Blaine my dear friend. I looked for main jets on ebay, All I found was the little screw that goes in the bottom of the jet, Is that all you change is that? you dont change the tube thats like an inch long. and if so could I just be craftty and drill the hole a lil bigger?

Blaine your awesome man your like the godfather of this forum, And Ive read that you don't even have a 454 anymore, So If you ever get to go on a holiday, come to Branson Missouri , Ill get you some free show tickets, feed you a free meal cause im a chef for a theater, And ill let you take my lil bike out to ride these beautiful Ozark Mountain twisties. just cause your an awesome guy. just don't come tomorrow cause im still tuning. Im serious I got this bike cause it was cheap and looked cool, plus I'm a gear head and always wanted to wrench a bike. Ill be getting another one maybe next year. but im keeping this one for my dad and friends to ride when they come visit. Your cant drive these roads and not want a bike, when warm weather hits ( last week ) every other person on the rode is on two wheels, I may try to drill them out just for the heck of it, I know jets are cheap, but I hate waiting on the mail man. I know I gotta go alot bigger cause all I do is shift and its heats up quick ( lean ) so ill post and let everyone know how it goes. thank you again for your timely advise and insight.

Branson!? I grew up in Springfield. Currently in Portland, but I can definitely attest to the amazing twisties in that area. Once my bike's in top shape, I'm planning on a long trip home just so I can play in the Ozarks. Good luck on the jets!

Cool let me know when you decide to come down, ill show you a nice ride around the lakes around Forsyth and Branson.
Blaine buddy what size jets you think I should try first. I read you put 135s in yours, Did you have to do any other adjustments? Ihave a more free flowing exhaust than stock I believe. And the pods I got do not restrict the air very much. Whatduhyathink?

Hey guys I figured my problems out why I had no top end, one of my vacuum diagrams wasn't sealing, that and I had to cut some more coils off, man it revs up to redline no problem, gets to 115mph pretty fast, launch at four grand and it wheelies for a few feet, I ve had it going for some time now, already put 4000 miles on it in the last few months . What an awesome lil machine, I paid 500 bucks for it. first I was thinking I paid to much, once I got it running good I felt like I stole it.
Running 135 main jets in Ozarks mountains with lake air Stock pilots 3 shims on the needle Pods blocked off 35% with jb weld Cut about four coils off the spring (lost count)
