The timing chain on my bike broke and I haven't been able to find out much info on fixing it. Everything I come across is about replacing a worn chain.
Can anyone help me out with some info of what should be done. Also, is this a zero clearance engine (where the pistons smash into the valves when the chain breaks)?
I would love to just rebuild it, but my funds are short at the time and this bike was my main source of transportation.
Thanks

Man that sucks geeraah, the easier way out is to get another engine.
I would investigate to find out just how much damage has been done and then decide. You could just replace the head and the chain if the piston didn’t hit too hard.
I have not had to make that extensive of a repair yet so my knowledge is limited. Good luck with your project and I hope it’s not as bad as you think. Wish I could be more help.

I was hoping it wouldn't come to that. That engine ran great and I haven't seen any parts bikes in my area at all. hopefully I can tear it down soon. been busy working (which is a good thing). Thanks for your input.
