Can anyone post a photo or photos of where two specific parts go: the evaporative canister (and its steel bracket); and the Igniter (plastic box, electrical component).
I'm reassembling a bike that's been apart for a few years and for the life of me I can't figure out where these two parts bolt on. I've got most of the other stuff figured out - but need help, PHOTOS, for these two.
Thanks.

Believe the igniter goes under the seat by the battery. At least I believe that's where mine is

Can you describe where it bolts to? The igniter has two bolt-holes built in; I've looked all over under there to find the two corresponding holes on the frame, or on whatever item the Igniter bolts to - and I can't find them.
Same issue for the steel bracket for the (plastic) vacuum canister. It has two mounting holes - and I can't figure out where to mount them to on the bike... I looked at parts websites and saw all the diagrams - but they don't show where the item bolts to ON the bike itself - they just show the item, "exploded from" the bike.
That's why I'm hoping somebody can take a sapshot of these items on their bike and post it here. Once I see a photo, all will be settled; the picture will be worth a thousand words lol

Well my tabs are broken on mine but it looks like it's supposed to bolt right on the metal bracket that goes over the battery. Not sure about the vacuum canister. I'll take a look tomorrow

May I ask why you are hooking up the California emission stuff (vacum canister)? Most of the members have removed all that troublesome, power & mileage robbing stuff.....unless you are in California, where the inspection people are so strict. Oh, the canister is mounted somewhere behind and below the airbox, I think...I have never saw all that on a 454, as I am in Texas.

Found the location. It mounts just above the top of the center stand mount, just in front of the rear tire.
Eaglerider, I wasn't asking whether or not I should keep the factory setup. I'm just putting back on the parts I removed. whether or not I like those parts isn't what I was asking for; I was asking where they mount to.
But I found the answer I was looking for. Was tough to find the mount holes because the bike is resting on its exhaust right now since the front forks are off; sort of covered up the mount area. But solved now.

Sorry I ticked you off.......I was just asking a question, and I also tried to answer your question. I will refrain from further posts here, so as to not cause a problem for you.
