I just unwrapped my fuel petcock I got from ebay, it is missing the vacuum port. Will this still work as gravity flow only? I am not sure of what the purpose of the vacuum line to the tank is for..... pseudo fuel pump?

Yes gravity feed only. You have to be sure to turn it to "off" when the bike is not running or you risk flooding the crankcase with fuel.

Thank Blaine Think I will skip this replacement. No more parts from China. On the original petcock the vacuum opens the valve so fuel can flow. When you shut the engine off (& loose vacuum) the petcock close so no fuel can flow. As long as your in the "Run" or "res" position. "Pri" lets fuel flow without any vacuum.

That petcock that you are showing is not a 454 petcock. it might bolt on the tank, but is not the correct part.

This isn't the fist time that "foreign" parts have turned out to be the wrong parts. My grips were listed to fit a 454 as well. They were 7/8" diameter, so the left side slipped on, but the throttle grip I had to sand down the plastic throttle body for it to fit. Even at that, it turned out to be an inch to short so I have a gap. I have seen a few other sketchy listing for the 454 I have passed on as well.
I think what I am noticing is, it may bolt up, or may be correct diameter, ect, ect, and/or the ebay parts listing may say it fits, but turns out to be totally the wrong part.
ETA: I have only noticed this with parts coming out of china...US, UK, and Europe listings parts seem to fit and are correct.
