Hello all. Since I removed the airbox and changed to the EMGO 54mm pod filters, I've lost 3 of them due to them just falling off. I've tried cranking down on the clamp, I've tried just snugging the clamp and still lose filters. What do you guys do to keep the filters on? It looks like there's some material (bracket at the top and housing at the bottom) around the flange that prevents the filters from going on far enough for the whole clamp to be on the flange and I'm debating taking the grinder to them if I can't figure anything else out. Is there something I'm missing?

Do you still have the rubber boots that went from the carbs to the airbox? Several of us have put the pods on them on the airbox side of the boots, then installed the airbox boots with pods on the carbs. That also lets the filters set further back behind the side panels for more protection from wet weather.

Perhaps one of our members have a pair they would let go, or check ebay.

For now, I'm just keeping the filter boots and the carb flanges clean and I safety wired them so if they do come loose from the carbs, they won't be left on the road. I think once I can get better safety wire I'll use it as a secondary method of securing the filter to the carb... One wrap around the filter boot (at the filter body) then another around the carb flange and twist it nice and tight. We'll see...
