250 miles this last weekend. Think I may need more padding on the seat. LOL Good to be riding again.

Been having a good year riding this as much as I can. October and November gave me good riding weather. I think last night was my last ride this season. Deer hunting starts this weekend so next three weekends are busy. Weekdays I usually am dropping off or picking up my son so not much chance on riding those days either.
I admit I'm more interested in riding than working on finishing this thing. Exhaust pipes are rusty, seat still has no cover, and paint could use some attention. But wow is it fun to ride. Hope everyone here is getting time to ride.
Anyway couple of close ups pics and a ref of before and now pics. Before
 Now

Nice job, I like the long swing-arm and monoshock. Is there a thread with pictures how you build/made it

Hey brother,
I am new to the boards and just recently started a monoshock 454 build of my own. I wish I would have looked on here first! Did you reinforce your swing arm at all? What is the spring rate of your shock? My angles are pretty similar and I have done the math a few times and come up with between 350-450lbs/in depending on a few variables.
Awesome looking bike man! Hats off to you for sticking with it and even continuing to ride the thing while you are still working on it, carpet foam and all haha

Hey Anthony The shock I used is a FastAce pit bike unit. 11" (280mm) eye to eye, 1000 lb spring rate, 2.7" (70mm) stroke, adjustable spring preload, dampening and rebound. It works good. I forget when I did my calculations what I was getting. Since the bike and your weight will be pushing 300lbs I would go with a larger spring rate than you are talking.
No I didn't reinforce the swingarm. I took stock en500 swingarm and cut the square crosstube to fit a 1/4" flat steel bent into a "V". I have some flat bar stock welded in across "V" as shown in the below pic in-between tire and shock. Two bushings welded into holes near the bottom of the "V" for the lower shock mount. Stock

Moving on. SELLING my 1986 bobber/chopper. I'd been wanting something bigger with room for a passenger. 454 Fork seal on left side started leaking and battery died. So I started looking for new bike and purchased a Victory Vegas. Time to sell the EN450. I'm offering it first here to you guys. All the spare parts and project related stuff goes too. I will provide all the info I have on custom parts made and the donor bike parts used to the buyer. This is a project bike I never completed. Mostly cosmetic. I got it to run and drive and had too much fun with it in that state. Kind of enjoyed everyone telling me to finish it cosmetically but just diving it. Rat rod look worked for me. $750 as is. Needs: 1- Fork seals installed (have new seals) 2- new PC-310 optima battery. ($150-200 battery) 3- slow drip from water pump. Low miles (1,500) on newer tires. Shinko 006 Podium Tires 170/60ZR17 rear, 110/70R17 front. Extra parts. Drive belt, rear swing-arm, Headlight bucket, electronics, carb parts, and many more. Strong motor. Great sound from custom exhaust. PM me for more details. I can text out more pictures. The image host I use, photobucket, is not working correctly. I live in the Twin Cities in Minnesota. Here is a Link to google photo album with a couple more pics. photos.app.goo.gl/6ZV4epk0KMH7w5Uz1

O, wow!! I hope it goes to someone who will appreciate all the work you have done on that "one of a kind" 454, and will take care of, and finish up the cosmetics.
