Not really a chopper fan. I'm more utilitarian. I'm more the bagger/cruiser style fan. Saddlebags, fork bag, sissy bar bag, windshield, and tank bag are in this bike's future. Given that I can find said parts. Engine Guard and Luggage Rack if I can even possibly find those. Gonna paint the front fender, side covers, and POSSIBLY exhaust, flat black. (For now) I HATE chrome!

I can respect that. Never leave anything stock. Post pictures as you go, I'm interested to see your interpretation of the EN 450.

Way to nice of a bike to chop or modify. These bikes are real hard to find around here.I wish that mine was in that kind of shape when I bought it,it would not have been modified. But to each his own.

I agree that it is too nice to chop, but, honestly, I believe "to each his own" and respect that everyone has to ride what you like.

Lucky you!! what did you pay for it if you don't mind my asking? I'm curious what they go for when you can find one.

When u can find the engine guard or the luggage rack, it's pretty much how bad u want it, as to what the cost, they are getting more and more scarce. The "scarcer" they get, the more those that have them, ask for them.

Yeah! I have a line on a guy who can build one for me but I have to get some money first. When I do have one built, I will post pics and cost on here. I will be happy to be a middle man for anyone else wanting one at cost plus shipping. I thought if it turns out as well as I think, I might advertise them on ebay. Anyone know what size tubing should be used in order to allow for foot pegs etc. to be mounted.

I think just about everyone on this forum who DOESN'T have an engine guard would LOVE to have one. If it were a quality piece. Personally, I would love one in flat black. No chrome for this guy. Keep us posted please. With pics!!

It may be a while as I am unemployed at the moment and have been since July, but as soon as things turn around, that is my first project. I will post as soon as I get it done.

Parts are coming in. Still waiting on tires, and a tachometer cable, which should be here tomorrow. Big thanks goes out to Member sdcruzin for the rear turn signals. I really do appreciate it. They are gonna work perfect. Got all new signals, new tach cable, new tach drive (Just in case), new tires, new rear brakes, and new right-side passenger peg. Once the weather warms up here, (mid 30's now) I'll get started on the projects. Will probably be uploading a bunch of pics, along with some simple how-to's. Along with a valve adjustment, and oil change, SeaFoam sprayed in, and in the tank. Then to work killing all the chrome on the bike; hello flat black..... And also, will probably be uploading pics of a buddy's 454 project, which at the moment is in pieces with the stator cover off, getting starter clutch, and starter repaired. Along with valve adjustment. Once it is all done, I'll snap a pic of the "twins" together. Also looking to buy some fenders and maybe a tank, to get started on my custom marble green paint job. I'd rather have the pieces to paint, and a bike to ride at the same time. Come on Spring!!!

Update - Today I got bored on my day off, so I decided to get SOMETHING done. New Rear Turn Signals Installed. Big thanks to member sdcruzin for the new rear lights. New Front Turn Signals Installed Tachometer Fixed! Not nearly as difficult as I was expecting. (Didn't know what to expect) I would have taken more pics, or gotten some videos, but the GF had our camera with her, and she showed up right as I was completing the jobs. Only took about a couple hours to do it all. I had the break the lights that came off of it, to get them off. Screws were stripped. Only things left to FIX are new tires, and rear brakes. Then on to the customizing. Does anyone happen to maybe have the 4 turn signal screws they might want to donate to my cause? I only have 2, and the heads are SEVERELY stripped.

You can replace the side cover screws with 8x1.5 bolts and washers I think and just use the side cover ones for your signals. That's what I had to do.

They are only threading into plastic. ;D The turn signals all thread into aluminium..... It's a machine screw. Thought maybe someone here might have a few. If needed, I'll get out the thread gauges and go to the hardware store and pick up some new ones. Still gonna be a few before riding season. Today was 34 degrees with 25mph winds.
