I did remove those when I cleaned the carbs, maybe I didn't put them back correctly
But another update.. I'm kind of beginning to pinpoint the problem.
I was brainstorming for whatever it could be, and I came to an ingenious solution (if I say so myself) ;D .
I figured by the sound of the engine it didn't get enough fuel, but I checked the spark plugs and they say diffrent. Because those are black and wet.. So it get's enough fuel.
Then I started thinking.. what if the spark from the sparkplugs wasn't strong enough to combust the fuel.
And I came to the solution.. maybe the ground connections are bad on the bike, so I made some home-made ground cables. Just grabbed some random wire, stripped the ends of it and put a couple of cable shoes on each side.
And I connected 1 from the engine to the frame, and the other from the battery to the frame.. and I was surprised it ran quite a bit better!!
It still holds back a little, but when I put some gas on the throttle it speeds up almost like normal... It does stutter when you drive along but at least I'm able to get it going without pushing the bike
And I need to check the throttle cables because the idle still is a bit weird.. It ran like 4000 RPM.. But when I try to adjust it with the screw on the bottom of the carbs it slowly went down to around 1500RPM and then for a couple of seconds it idles around 500RPM and then it dies.
So I figured I tried to testdrive on that setting, and instead of turning off when you push the clutch it revs up again to 4000RPM and if you wait a couple of seconds it's the same as above. It gradually turns down to around 1500rpm for a couple of seconds and then it dies again.
So I'm also beginning to suspect that 1 of the cables is stuck underneath the tank somewhere, and that's why it keeps the RPM high if you push the clutch 'cause it can't retract..
But that's another story for tomorrow! ;D
