last weekend i bobbed the frame and lowered the bike, pics are still a ways off, so bare with me on that ( want you to get the full effect and post all the pics at once) currently i build the bike with the stock rear tire, am still going back and forth on going with the wider (150 right?) tire, those running the wide rear, could you tell me what the width is in inches? my cavity under the seat allows for a 6 inch clearance and i need the tire and fender both to fit with in that.

The 150 tire is about 6" dead on.

140 rear tire gives enough clearance.

140 is as wide as u can go, unless frame, and other mods are made for tire clearance. Wider tire will rub the belt.

Maybe a difference in tire brands?? I just barely have a half inch with the 140.

I have a 150 x 90 -15 Kendra Cruiser on with lots of room, and my rear shocks were lowered to 9".The rear tire is a full 6"wide.I was debating going with a 160 which is another 7/16 (10mm) in width, but decided it was to much width for the rim.Something doesn't add up.

i have 8 inches of ground clearance on the lower frame rail, bike standing with no rider weight, i widened the rear section and then plated it with a piece of 6 inch trailer fender. just enough clearance for a fender in a bottom out scenario. so i will look at a 140, is 130 stock? been so long since i shopped for tires i don't remember.

does anyone run the IRC wild flare 150-90-15? i think i'm gonna put one on there but i know different tire manufacturers tires can differ a bit and want to make sure these will work.

I run a Kenda Challenger 150 on mine with lots of room. There difference in width from manufacturer to manufacturer would minimal if any.
