Not sure of a tank,as any other tank will needed to be modified to fit.The most widely used shocks are off a Suzuki savage (S40).They are 10 1/2 " in length.

The more i look at this thing, the more i want to move teh top shock mounts and use the stock shocks. with the fender off, there is a ton of room in there and to me the angel of the shocks looks to flat and almost in a bind when compressed. i am going to do some measuring this weekend and get a better idea.

Yea I'd like a bigger tank too. A five gallon would be so awesome. I've been looking at the underbelly of Vulcan tanks, and there would have to be some modifications done to get one to fit.

Thanks!
Yeh a 5 gallon would be nice. Its hard to go long distances on the small tank that we have. What is ours, a 3 or 4 gallon ?

I have a vulcan 750 tank that I bought by mistake if someone is interested. It is bigger than ours and would require some fabrication skills to get it to work but I think you fab. experts could make it work. It cost me $125 but if someone wants it to try the mods. I will sell it for 60 plus shipping as it isn't doing me any good. I have to go and look at it to make sure but if I remember the color scheme right, it is black with red trim that is the same as our trim. That is why I bought it. It looks exactly like our tank. It's just bigger and mounts different.

Have you any pictures of the tank ? Underneath would be good too, to see what kind o fjob it would take to make her work.

The 750 tank is 4 inches longer than our tank, wider, and the front mounts different. The backbone channel is also wider, due to the 750 having a double backbone. The longer length will/would require some major frame modification....lengthening the front half of the backbone and frame by at least 4 inches...then fabricate mounting brackets for the front of the tank.

The Suzuki Savage (LS650) is actually pretty easy to mount.

if i ever get the cash i'd like to experiment with using 2 454 tanks to make 1 wider tank. it would mount perfect, clear the bars, and add capacity. just the tanks are so darn expensive.

I have an old tank that has holes in the tip near the seat. If you are going to cut it and use for extensions, you could weld up the holes while your in the process. If your interested I will make you an EXTREMELY good deal. PM me.
