Left side baffle mod I started off by using a tap and a hammer then gradually used bigger drill bits until i finished it off with a 12 inch long 1/2 inch bit. I went through the outer plate which you see in the picture and the first baffle plate inside.

Actually yes! I plan on taking out the original air box and filter and replacing in with K&N style, washable filters attached right to the carbs. Also I want to change the handlebars. I really am not a fan of the original handle bars. This winter I plan on sanding down the gas tank and doing something creative with that. I was also thinking about eventually changing the exhaust over to drag pipes. I've only had the bike since Wednesday so I'm sure I'll come up with more ideas.
Right now I have some carb issues that I have to sort out. The bike is running EXTREMELY rich. I plan on early this week taking the carbs off and giving them a thorough cleaning.

I went with pods as well, the stock air box isn't exactly user friendly for maintenance.
A good stripper...the paint removing kind, will strip the tank with minimal or no sanding.
The stock buck horn style bars, give more posture comfort than they do control. I've been bouncing this one around in my mind for a few months and still haven't decided yet.
I haven't given any thought to mufflers yet, I tend to go in stages and when all other mods and custom get completed, then choose mufflers that tie the whole thing together last.
It's fun to see everyone's personal tastes on their bike when, all is said and done, and they're happy with it. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Here's a handlebar suggestion (tho it's a personal choice)...I ran a set of Honda CB750 bars, and liked the wider position and more positive control. Too bad they got bent when my Eagle got wrecked, when this "lady" pulled in front of me, trying to get into a parking place, without looking.....luckily was only doing maybe 5 or 6 miles an hour when we hit. Bent bars, bent forks, shattered windshield, tore up custom dual headlights & fender, bent tank ( by my leg/knee)....o well...u get the picture. Re-built about 3 weeks later, thanks to some great ebay folks in Florida!!!! ;D ;D

Jetblack- We all can use a good stripper! ;D
Eagle- I'm glad you were OK and not seriously hurt. I had a similar situation while I was driving down the road and a lady pulled out in front of me from a shopping center and I hit her in the front drivers side fender.. I wasn't hurt but my Ninja suffered and flat tire and a bent rim.. the lady was screaming that she was gonna have me arrested for hitting her... Luckily for me the two cops that showed up were both on motorcycles :-) epic win for me!

Seriously...that's why I like loud pipes; even then there's millions of those space cadets you always have to watch out for. Parking lots are about as bad as the left turners...as soon as people are in a lot their retard levels rise to astronomical proportions.
