I like what you did there with the two up seat, the back rest and the fender. very "simple" in looks, yet makes a heck of a impact on the over all "look" of the bike. I would have never imagined it could look that good and still be a two seater. well done.

I'm going to go single cable also to help clean up the bars. I was going to do an internal throttle and clutch, but I would still need the controls; so that plan is off the drawing board for the time being.
Hows the single cable for the throttle been working out for you? Did you install a return spring in case the cable snaps and your throttle gets stuck wide open?

i made the throttle cable my self due to the bigger handlebars and rooted it the most straightest way and have no problems with it returning, it snaps shut very quickly, no other mods were needed

Thanks pya977, I figured it was one of those safety things that once implemented had to stay in use, needed or not. The throttle springs on the carbs are really strong mouse trap comes to mind. My carbs were so gummed when I took them apart the throttle valves were stuck closed when I freed them up the valve would slooooooowly close. A good soak later super snappy. The only positive I can find is if the throttle cable snaps you can use the other as a back up, although I've heard the return cable is usually the only one that snaps

Blaine I'm going to take your post as an omen, and keep a dual cable set up. My slides are polished and super slick, so I wasn't concerned about the vacuum lock I've read about...besides that, if my throttle did get stuck open; I'd just pull the clutch.
I plan on a lot of touring, and long distance with it so It's a good back up feature if something snaps, like yours did.
pya977, you might be tired of hearing it but your paint is sick.

Here are 2 new pictures of my bike going through the change. There are quite a few changes from last year, some you may like and others you may not. 1 custom king Piglet tank now added 2 custom slab yoke (trees) 1" wider that stock 3 new front wheel spindle to suit wider yokes 4 new parts on frame for custom side panels 5 new mounts for footpegs and brake moved back about 12" as on h/d Piglet. 6 hardtail strutes added More mods to come. colour will be satin black frame swingarm, gloss black and silver for the tank, gloss black front and rear and yokes mudguards

Well, some one got cabin fever over winter... ;D
Have you looked into getting some dom tubing setting up a frame jig and just welding up a rigid rear end? Captured swing arms are fine, especially if you ever want to go back to shocks.
Might want to relocate the petcock bung closer to the bottom of the tank; so you can get more mileage out of it, being on an island that might not be an issue though.
Looking forward to seeing your progression.
