Well, I just did my forks. As I saw it on the exploded drawing on "cmsnl": www.cmsnl.com/kawasaki-1986-a2-en450_model12187/partslist/F2340.html#resultsit is the correct order - BUT I turned the little T-shaped spacer 180 degrees from yours as I thought it fitted better. That way, the narrow end of the spring gets "stuck" in the spacer. It feels allright to me. Hope this was a help for you...

Thank you joenson. I've been searching for hours through kawasaki heavy industry web sites trying to find a more detailed photograph or factory instaliation guides. My manual has the photo you linked and it suprises me that even this doesn't have a detailed description of the order of these tiny springs in the bottom of the cylinder. I've found sites that say up, down, or make no mention at all of these little bits. But as you say, I guess its just a feel thing. The spring does sit better the way you said. Thank you!!!

So would the tiny spring be on the bottom. Cause if it faces up the seat it sits on is on an angle so I guess the spring might slip. And does anyone know why that spring is there, what does it do exactily? Anywho thanks!
