The reason that diagram is not posted here "in the open", is due to liability concerns. I do hope all understand.

After reading this thread and tons of others may I piggy back. First, Eagle or Blaine could I get that diagram pm-ed? It will be a couple of days before I can dive into my ignition issues any-who. My current problem is that the switch in the "on" position turns everything except the rad fan on and that has always been the primary indicator that the bike will start (a previous owner must have direct spliced, poorly, the fan into the harness bypassing bits). At the moment the fan will not start running and the bike will not start either. Question, if after cleaning ignition contacts the bike does not start what trouble shooting should be next? FYI, it's fun when your 'pickle refuses to start in front of a dealership who doesn't work on anything older than 2000.

Email is sent Blaine, thank you. It's a wonder what a little WD-40 and PB blaster will do to clear up an ignition switch. Next to use the electrical cleaner. Thanks for the variety of posts on here, they help!

Thanks man. I've got another question if anyone can help? The bike i hive purchased was someones parts bike. Iv got almost all parts to restore it. But I'm missing my right side electrical controls start, stop buttons. Someone cut the wires right where they plug into the harness to remove the controls. Makes no seanse to me why you wouldn't just un plug it..
So my question is. Dose anyone here have a diagram for the right side control wires?

Have you picked up any of the books on the market? Most of them have detailed electrical diagrams. If my bike wasn't in another state, I'd step outside and take a picture of the hookup.

Could you send me the diagram? My key ignition is going bad. Am going to disassemble it and check the contacts as it seems like it may be spinning or just worn. Thanks!

Fixed the ignition rotor contact. The contacts were way filthy, causing the bike not to start/shut off during ride. Also, the ball bearing to help support one contacts spring and lock the ignition position was not seated properly.

This thread is great, I joined just for the diagram everyone's raving about. (over 2yrs old, wasn't expecting it to still be going) Blaine can you hook a brother up? Up till yesterday, all she wanted was a little fiddlin' with, then all of a sudden I've got no lights, no nothing. Hoping to bypass the switch completely.
