Hey guys..i need some assistance.. I was taking the shocks off the 454 and the bottom shock bolt snapped at the head of the acorn nut... Not sure how to fix this.....it looks like that shoulder bolt is welded to the member...

This probably isnt recommended but what i would do is drill and tap it so a bolt could hold everything together.

You can get a used one for about 30 on ebay that is what I did.

Check the bushings as well they may be stuck on the old swing arm they probably wont come off take it from me I was there and it was a pain.

I second that ;-) I took an angle grinder and carved the stuck rubber bush off as I had new ones that came with the new shocks. gce get that bolt welded on by a good qualified welder. Your life depends on that bolt. Its a multi run pass so you need someone who knows what there doing. Good luck with it mate!
