Hey guys been a while since I've posted anything but here goes. I recently finished the bike after a year of working on it and 3 days after completing and getting in a Lil riding my rear brake snapped at the cable/rod joint. The rod section dropped and dug into the pavement and catapulted bike into the air the proceeded to wrap itself around the axle numerous times. Destroyed paint on numerous parts and damage galore. Question is, is there a way to replace cable with a linkage setup? Never wanna have a repeat of cable failure again.

Yes sir I happen to read that post and you are certainly correct. Cables on my bike are ancient and I've replaced them all except that one, which has to replaced now. Every cable that has been replaced has been due to a failure. So yes folks replace them cables or end up like me.! I have no good excuse for not changing them but I had all kinds of excuses at the time. Lol. All joking aside it almost cost me my life. Broke the brake torque rod, knocked the wheel alignment tensioner of the right side of swingarm, And locked rear wheel up and flat spotted a Kenda challenger tire and of course countless hours and $ in paint and my time. And ruined the muffler on the right side. Which were hand fabricated by myself. Can't just go buy one of those. Coulda bought a cable really easy
