So i had 155 psi in the left cylinder and 115 in the right last year So off to the strip club (aka the shed) plastic bags were obtained to put the entire engine in (piece by piece) after splitting the crank case, and rolling the motor over and over on my bench and almost ripping my hair out as too "WHY WONT IT COME APART" I found one last bolt. Sigh. then I find a pin??? 1/8 wide 1 7/8 long and I had utterly no idea what it was from. Page 8.2 in my manual showed it but its detail I sort of lacking. So ill discover that later. Then winter hit in Wisconsin, now its 4 months later. The strange bolt, pin, dowell holds the front cam chain guide pin in place! I did a dance when I found where that went!!! I also found some nasty rusted spots straight through the bottom of the frame on the right side below the suspension point. I welded a gusset over the holes. I also found a missing weld on the pillion foot peg, a quick mig fixed that. So now im looking at the foot pegs (too far forward for me) Grind hack slash and now there on the back I like that And relocate the stand after a slight shortening of the mount ( I hope the exhaust fits now) And relocate the gear shifter too. So now im waiting for paint to dry then ill finish the motor reassembely, wiring, then ride. I love my little 454! I really do!
