Ive rebuilt the engine, rebuilt the carb, replaced almost everything. It just wont rev. Im at a loss. Please help it still seems like a carb issue to me. but to be frank without a wealth of fresh info as to exactly what it does or doesn't do the quality of the work done or if there is a possibility that replacement parts could also be faulty anything other than a stab in the dark is impossible. do you have a spare CDI to try they are usually very reliable but have been known to fail. are you sure it runs on both cylinders do the pipes get hot at the same rate. I assume from previous posts it runs fine at tick over [should be around 1200rpm]. how far can you wind up the idle before it stops running. does it help any on a super fast tickover. 3k+. but the carbs are my bet. something wrong with the transition from idle jets to mid range [needles] occurs around 3 to 4k. of course this is assuming every thing else on the bike is spot on. and not stopping it from revving, it may not be.

Long shot in the dark here but, my honda won't rev up with the filter and air box combo off the machine. Is yours on the bike?
Wait a few more hours and Eagle or Baine will reply.

You might want to verify that the wires are correctlly attached to the coils. I have seen some confusion as to which color goes where. On my bike the yellow/red wires are to the plus on both coils, green wire left side minus, and black wire is right side minus. Dont know if that helps but there you go!

It's been a while since op posted: You get that thing running proper? If so, let us know. I'm still SLOWLY, attempting to get mine back together. Fuel tank is at the radiator shop as of today. I think I'm working bass ackwards on this. I should have checked for spark before tearing into the carbs and descaling the tank.
Anyway, inquiring minds want to know.
