hello everyone i recently have been removing some electrical items off the bike. i removed the dash cluster all the turn signals the brake light is just disconected right now but i tried to start it and nothing happens except the headlight comes on. do i just have to ground all the neutrals or can i bipass the issue thats going on . thank you.

nope. you have to rewire the essentials or by pass them. for instance if the dash has gone you have no neutral light so the bike doesn't know when it's in neutral so all the lockout systems are enabled. plus the bike uses some components to power other components so if you disconnect one. neither of them work. and so on.

thank you for your reply. can i remove those lockout devices and were are they located. i can bring power to the things that have lost it.

I sometimes don't think owners understand how these bikes are designed to work it is not a matter of just removing stuff and joining wires together. components are wired in such a way to provide a integrated system where one bit depends on another bit in order to work effectively.
in effect you would have to go through the wiring diagram one circuit at a time simplifying the circuits so there are less connections being made. probably using a spare harness as a doner to cut up and simplify them while using some of the original type connectors. for the stuff you want to leave on. not easy to do but possible, for instance the clutch lever switch is part of the lockout system, it has 3 wires and 2 circuits, depending on the position of the lever one circuit is open while the other is closed and visa versa you cannot have both circuits open or closed at the same time. you would have to remove the whole of both circuits to eliminate the switch. and so on through the whole bike.
