Hi there,
Bought a chopped-to-bobber ltd 454 a while, non running electric mess. Stripped the bike to the last bolt. Rebuild it with all new bearings/gaskets/ fresh paint etc. Now in process of getting the electrics fixed. Used the simplified wiring diagram found here on the forums. Which so far worked out great. Used it to make the entire loom.
Used a pick to unpin all the old connectors and rewired them in the new loom. But I run into the following issues. I have the cdi, the connector going in the cdi, and the pins going into the connector. Is anyone able to help me out with what function or wire is going where on the cdi connector?
I do know what is going tó the cdi... Just don't know what goes on what pin of the cdi. Is a US version bike.
Another question I have is mostly the same but then concerning the turn signal module. My colour wires coming out of this module to not match ány of the wiring diagrams I found. Can this module be deleted with keeping the original handle bar controls? Also I do not have any care for running lights. They just need to blink and stop
Thanks in advance

Questions you are asking have already been covered but to sum up the wiring leading to the cdi(I got a new cdi works great, 21119-1219)
r/y is fed by 12v from a push button and branches out to 3 connectors, 2 to coils, 1 to the push button
Black is the right coils ground(sitting on bike right hand side)
Green is left coils ground(make sure to get these correct or it'll try an start 180degrees outta time)
Black w yellow & brown w white originally runs into diodes for lockout switches but I just ran my straight to a ground, I struggled to understand this needed to be wired correctly for a spark to occur*
Pickup coils - I cut my original 4pin connector(wish I hadn't, keep it cuz I had to figured out the proper connections the hard way) black and white grounds blue, yellow is grounded out by black w red, blue is for the short one and yellow is the longer one)

to wire up starter, run the ground wire closest to the stator cover to the battery, the positive cable on the right side to the starter relay, then on the other post of the relay run that to the battery.
Now, the post that has the positive coming from the starter(should be on left with starter relay pins facing you, that pin receives power from a push button, on the other post where current is fed from battery, run that to a ground.
Also whatever your using as a push button the other pin on it is the power source for the button, from a toggle

I used this one, it's not mine, another subforum here posted this one. It matched 99% of my bike which is a USA model. I did however altered this one even further. Cutting out the indicator module, cutout the ignition switch and added the horn back in because it's mandatory here in the Netherlands
