I know i need to replace my starter relay but when i went to try to start my 454 it was buzzing as it useally does then the 30 amp fuse heated up and blew out and the push start button isnt pushing in anymore does anyone know what this issue is or if its just the starter relay ive got a new ignition button assembly coming already but why would this one break it was hot when i felt it afterwards anyone know whats going on?

If you're pulling more than 30A that could be the starter motor failing or part of the starter clutch system is sticking or some part of the circuit has shorted. Remove the generator cover and watch what happens on start. You can remove the starter and test it hot from the battery but only do this for a couple of seconds if you suspect a problem. Nothing in that circuit should be heating up, that's probably a sign of high current flowing in other components instead of the starter.
