So the other day, I went to go replace the tachometer cable, and unrelated noticed that the Fuel Filter fitting had snapped off. I am not sure how this happened so I replaced the fuel filter, and since then I noticed that gas started leaking. Logic suggests that it has to do with the fuel filter and I might go get a new one, or this is more of an issue and I might need to rebuild the carbs.
I plan to do some more research in this and find out more before I do anything (although, I do believe the carb cleaning and rebuild might be in good order), so was wondering if anybody had any suggestions before and or places to start before I dive deeper.
Thanks ya'll.

Wipe everything dry & be sure were fuel is leaking from.If you do remove the carbs for cleaning/rebuild don't separate them.Leave them together & do one at a time.If you run a good carb cleaner (SeaFoam) thru the system it will go a long way to preventing any carb problems.

Got it, I am going to try everything first before doing anything with the carbs.
Since I replaced the fuel filter, logic is telling me that the leak comes from the fuel line, so I replaced the fuel line as well, but it's not clear to me what size fuel line is used. There was 5/16ths currently installed, so that is what I replaced it, but the filter is for 1/4ths. I also got a foot of 1/4 inch fuel line, but that doesn't seem to want to fit into the carb intake and I couldn't seem to find a clear answer as to what size this should be.
What size fuel line/filter are you guys using. Blaine, I saw some photos of the fuel filter you are using, and mine looks exactly the same. I ran some seafoam through it last night, and going to try again today to see if that worked.

After closer examination, it looks like the fuel is leaking from the intake into the carburetor (and it's a lot of fuel). I'm going to pull and re-attach all the lines. I can't tell if the the carburetors are over flowing or not. It's really hard to see into this without pulling the carburetors to see if there are any cracks or anything.
Also, is the line into the carburetors supposed to rotate?

Yes the "T" will rotate as well as the one up above (overflo) They are set between the two carbs in o-rings.That why it's advisable not to separate the carbs from the racks. But it is possable that one of these o-rings are leaking, but not likely.

I fixed to gas leak. Turns out to be a bad hose connection . It's sounding rough after running seafoam through the carbs, but hoping that'll clear up when it's all burned off. Thanks again!
