Hey guys.
So, I installed a replacement clutch lever this afternoon since the stock one was bent when I laid the bike down as that car pulled out in front of me on Sunday. I followed the manual’s instructions on adjusting the free play on the lever since it was a new lever.
Now the bike won’t start. When I press the start button, nothing happens. It is in neutral. I made sure I plugged in the clutch safety kill switch. Jiggled the lever and switch around, but nothing happens. The headlight and dash lights come on. I can even change the gear from neutral to first and back, but it just won’t start.
Thoughts?

I think I figured out why it won’t start. I was examining the clutch safety switch and was going to take it apart and clean the contacts and I noticed that the depressor stick was missing. I searched around the bike and found it on the garage floor. I assume that when I took the old clutch lever off, I snapped off the depressor stick for this safety switch. I am going to see if the local Kawasaki shop has the switch. If not, I will grab one off of eBay.

Yep...Thats your problem......You can put the two wires together to use the bike till you get a new switch.

That’s what I thought but there’s three wires..... 🤨 Not sure what to do there.

So, since nobody carries this switch nearby, I thought I would try and superglue the depressor stick back on while I wait for an online order.

Well, that didn’t last long. I’ve ordered the replacement switch and I will try just bypassing the switch until it arrives.
