Go to most any good cycle shop, and ask for Emglo pod filters - 54MM, they seem to work the best (for me at least). They will run about 20 bucks for the pair.

Hey Eagle, Would those be paper filters or reusable filters like a K&N?

They are paper...I really do not like the K&N...in the long run, I don't think they are worth the high price, then the chemicals to "re-cycle" them. The Emglo's last a very long time, as long as they do not get contaminated by oil, and u can tap them some and blow them out with an air gun.

Yea they are expensive but i like how you never have to buy new ones, Just wash them out then oil 'em Also i like the color over paper
But depending on the price i may go with paper instead... Do you recall how much the K&N's are?

The K&Ns have a very high airflow, and I personaly think that there is where some that have used them have had some problems. As I said, I have used the emglo filters from the beginning (about 6 years), had no problems like some others have, and only replaced them once - a couple of years ago.

The paper ones sound fine... i dont care to spend a fortune for the K&N's
Plus $20 sounds alot better then $50-$100
Eagle do you know if those paper pod filters fit the ex500 carbs the same as our 454 carbs?
Also im lookin to buy 03 ex500 carbs, Do you know if the 04 or newer are any bigger or better? Thanks, Andrew

Thanks, Andrew The 03 carbs im lookin to buy are going for alot cheaper then the others so i got to thinkin why? So i looked at the picture closer and seen that there missing the top caps/covers And my question is, Could i just switch them over from the 454 carbs?
