I must have a short somewhere in the harness itself. Its been there for years now and I am tired of playing Russian Roulette everytime I ride (obviously I had a problem yesterday). I need one for an 89. I bought 1 off ebay a few years back but its different than mine. I see some parts on ebay now but the dude is way overpriced

I have the full harness out of an 86. I'm not sure if they're the same though.

Most likely not. 85 thru 87, and perhaps some of the early built 88s are same. The discontinuance of the self-canceling turn signals caused a change in the wireing harness, as well as starting the change-over to the Vulcan 500. Most, if not all the 89 model harnesses are even more different - and not all 89 harnesses are the same. The 90 model harness ( if I am right) are the same as the 90 - 95 Vulcan 500. Now, did I really get y"all confused??

Ice Cream Man, I repeat, what is the problem that you are having? ? Did the harness burn up, or what? Is the engine quitting on you while you are riding? Is it blowing fuses or what?
