Does the EN 450 use a seal for the stater cover? I just pulled a starter to transfer to my New/Salvage engine and noticed that the previous rider had used a liquid sealer... is there a seal or is liquid seal the best bet...I've never been a fan of liquid gasket jell/puddy.

You can order a gasket from a dealer but it takes 5-7 days unless you want to pay for express shipping which is rather costly. Liquid gasket works okay if you allow enough time for it to set up before installing the cover. And it is always a goog practice to lay an even coat on both surfaces before joining together.

;D Gasket is the right way to go - do NOT put anything on the gasket, or it will leak! Using the liquid stuff is just fine for auto engines, but I would not think of using it on our bikes. Someone did sometime back, and then his crankcase got a batch of silicone in it and caused a bunch of problems.

Pretty sure that one is a paper gasket. One can be had at the dealership for around $10-$15. My local dealer cut the gasket while I waited. Very fast.

sounds good.
You do use silicone around where the electircal wires come out of the case.
