I recently got a lovely low ride chopped EN 454 and found to my horror that some rather nasty piece of work had completly wrote off the carbs to the point of no return. Still a trip to the world of ebay sorted that or so i thought have serviced new carbs has put in larger main jets as the bike now runs with K&N air filters however when I attached the carbs it leaks fuel from the overflow pipe and from the K&N even put new float valves in and made sure the floats dont stick but still no joy anybody have any idea why the carbs could be loosing fuel this bad? its a uk model if that helps... All advice or ideas greatfully welocme.

and, in my opinion, the K&N (foam type) filters are too free flowing for our bikes.

ok thanks both, finaly got the carbs sorted and the K&N's run fantastic with the larger main jets in the carbs, think i may have upsets the better halfs neighbours when she finally fired up especially with straite through exhausts on her with no baffles fitted.. was loud but after a year or rebuilding the bike from the frame up was worth every second.. Many Thanks to you both.
