Has anybody here tried to set up some accent lights on their bike (as in under-bike neon / engine lights)? If so, how did it turn out?

Has anybody here tried to set up some accent lights on their bike (as in under-bike neon / engine lights)? If so, how did it turn out? I have Blue LED's under mine. These one's come with 3 LED"s in each rectangular box.I have one mounted under each side of the sissy bar.one on each side under side covers(air box is removed)Two under tank, and one on top of the rad cover, pointing at front fender. For a total of 21 LED"s.They don't take enough power to even notice.I wired them so they come on with the key(no switch)They look good at night, and increase your visibility.Depending on your laws, you may want to install a on-off switch.

That is awesome.
I picked up some green, blue and purple LED's ... I'm thinking purple in the back, blue on the engine and green on the front fender. We'll see how it turns out.
I figure the front lights must connect up in the headlight, but where did you splice in the ones for the engine and the sissy bar?

I spliced into the taillight wire under the seat by the back fender. Will want to see a picture when you are finished. ;D

How much was that little 3 pack? I think you misunderstand.I didn't explain very well. Each "pack" is a individual light consisting of 3 LED's in each pack. They were a motorcycle specific set, consisting of 8 "packs".I picked them up used.WalMart has a good selection of different LED's that are more reasonable priced. They usually come in red, blue, and white.I have used them before, and they are just as good as the motorcycle specific one's,just a lot cheaper.

Y'all shoulda seen GWK's 1st KIT....had both neon & led lights..."lit up like a christmas tree", so to say. Had purple neons on both sides of the radiator, neons inside each side cover (expanded metal replaced center part of side cover), and lites under tank and engine. Wish I still had a nite-time pic...I would post it, so u could see. Those lites were kinda good at bike shows. Uh.....I do have the side covers on my bike, but the lites are not hooked up.

Ohhh, ok I see now. Imma have to look up restrictions for colors here in NC, and pick up one of those 8 packs. Maybe two where my air box used to be and a few hidden around. But what color?...

If you have an Ollie's near you, they get in the overstock from auto-shops sometimes. I got some cluster 6- LED units for $3 each. However I haven't had a chance to work on it yet ... another project for winter
