No power at all? Did you check your fuses?

yes the fuses are all intact, and all the connectors show nothing more than normal wear and tear..nothing that should stop flow of electric...actually bought a new battery...i think the ground wire may have fried the battery..but im still open to suggestions

Had a similar failure like that with mine but it was more intermitant. It turned out to be the ignition switch. You can see the bottom of it if you look between the headlight and the right blinker. try pushing up on the bottom of the switch and see if that helps. you should be able to see one of the tabs that holds that together. it might be broken.

it was broken but the previous owner fixed it with a zip tie..i did however ctake it out and clean it double checking because i checked around a lil bit in the forums..mine used to cut out when i would get up in its rear accelerating..itd get to mid second low third and shut off for a few moments..but i knew it was the key, ignition was always picky about where it had to be to start it

Make sure the clutch safety switch is fully pushed in to the harness. I would also check the kickstand switch.

well good news..the new battery and ground wire did the job..wires arent getting hot after running for fifteen minutes..the only problem is the rear marker/tail light doesnt work unless the brake is on and the plate light is out also...burnt out wire?..i checked the fuse, even changed it out with a new one and no dice..thanks everyone for your previous help and any further would still be greatly appreciated

well..another discovery..sorry to be blowin it up in here..the key has to be tight to the left to kick the bike on..and it runs fine..but the rear lights dont kick on untill middle of the on position on the ignition..im thinking i need to just break down and replace the ignition?? ideas..cleaning the contacts made the problem worse

Sounds like the plastic case is your problem not letting the pins align properly. You might be able to repair it, but since you said it has already been fixed once, you might need a new one.
