One like mine is about 2 1/2 inches, which is considerbly smaller than stock. I have a matching tach.....both are aftermarket "custom" gauges for a Honda....they sorta look like the small harley gauges from Drag Specialties. My temp gauge is 1 5/8 electric I found at a auto supply. Pardon the kinda angled pic, tried to get any reflection out.

Tach & speedo both have a single hole mounting bracket on the back, and the 94 Vulcan tripple tree just so happens to have two tapped holes in the right places ;D. The temp gauge....never have permenantly mounted...taped it to the tach & speedo with chrome metal tape. Had/have plans to fabricate a "faceplate" panel for the tree gauges + indicator lights for turn, hi/lo, oil pressure, and neutral.

first one. I also have an 05 tripple tree, (looks like the second one) just don't have the 41mm forks for it. The 94 uses 37mm, same as the 454.

do you think the newer trees would work if you had the forks, wheel, etc. to go along with it?

The tripple tree should bolt right in, dont know whether the wheel would be needed, unless the axle is different diameter.

Found a good little speedo on eBay, says it's for Harley but it's 2260:40 ration so should be fine, just wondering though is our speedo cable 12mm in diameter? cos it say it will only take 12mm

I used a small harle speedo with the little indicator lites inside it for awhile...found out it was reading faster than I was really going. The speedo cable fit just fine.

That might work out better for me because my stock speedo is always reading a little lower than my actual speed, might be a larger size front tyre than the original thats causeing it not sure what the stock size is, the speedo I'm looking at is exactly as you described and it's $67 from BK rider store, thanks heaps the help guys

Ratio stated is 2 to 1.....not sure, but I kinda feel like that one will not read correctly.
