Anyone adapted wire wheels to the 454? How was it done? Can you use the belt? change over to chain?

The wire wheels off a Vulcan will work.If you want to use the belt you can change the drive sprocket from your cast wheel. The guys over on the Vulcan forms are always looking for our cast wheels,so they can go "tubeless".

i know this thread is old, but on wire wheels dont you have to run tubes? And seriously, the vulcan wires are a direct bolt on utilizing our belt sprocket?

Yes you do need to run tubes in a spoke wheel. That's why I said that the "Vulcan" guys are always looking for the cast wheels off the 454 so they can run tubeless.

As far as I know, just the Vulcan 500 wheels (both front & rear) are a direct bolt on, using the belt drive parts off the 454 on the rear wheel. Of course, I am sure there are other wheels will fit the front, as long as the proper spacers, and axle diameter are right.
