I have seen a lot of these bikes with trailer fenders put on the back wheel. My question is what width fender would you use and if you where to try to attach it to the swing arm and brace it at the shocks bottom, what length for the fender would you suggest. Thanks

The fenders; 13.5" RADIUS X 6" WIDE X 38" LONG (sorry for the caps, copy and paste). Got it on eBay. Seller said it was for a "triumph or other". Stray from buying one from an actual trailer parts shop. Those tend to be thinner and are usually only curved on one side. The others a 90* angle for side mounting.

Great info, thanks for that. Do you think a 7" wide fender would be too big to fit between the frame?

It should. It'll be tighter at the swing arm. Just stick a measuring tape in there and check. Id do it but I'm away from the bike right now.

7 inch is just a tad too wide for the frame rails, in stock configuration.

If you wanted that wide of a fender, you could cut it to fit inside the frame then leave it wider in the back.

I think that is what I will try (cutting it to fit that is). There are fenders on ebay for about $27 that are 7" rather than $50 plus for a 6" one. Thanks for all your help.
