I had a meltdown the other day. I was out for a ride and noticed my right turn signal wasn't working. Soon there after, my left turn signal wan't working either. When I got home, I checked things out and found this...much to my dismay. Does anyone happen to have a spare relay they would be willing to part with?

You can use a typical automotive flasher,it will work just fine.If you switch to LED's you need to use a electronic flasher to regulate the speed.

5 bucks for an auto-type flasher. I prefer electronic, so that even if you have one bulb out, the other will still flash. Thermal type will not flash when one bulb is out. Lets you know you have a light out, but very unsafe. (You should check ALL your lights OFTEN anyway.)

Thanks for the help guys. I went and got a flasher today but I think I now have bigger problems. when I went to put the new flasher on, I found wires melted together. Gonna have to do some rewiring. Just another day in the saga of a 27 year old bike.

That much melting you should check to see what size fuse is in it!
should have popped!
check all fuses to see what has been stuck in over the years...
