12 volts on ours. If your battery is new, and charged up, more likely your problem is not the battery. Check all your connections, grounds, etc. Jump the starter selonoid to see if the starter spins.....if it does, the starter selonoid could be bad, or the starter button could be dirty, or defective. Batteries use acid, not epsom salt. Do you hear a clicking noise when u push the starter button? If your battery is old, or has been allowed to run dry, you will need to buy a new one.

They cost a little more, but look on ebay for the gel cell sealed batteries.......no acid to worry about, no spillage, etc. If u have a Wal-Mart, they should carry motorcycle batteries (about $45-50 for ours), or some auto supply stores carry them. Then, with either battery u get, I reccomend a battery tender type charger....keeps the battery "topped up" on the charge.

What Eagle said; I've bought my last two GMAT batteries from a seller on Ebay called BatteryGeek both were under 50 and the guy ships really fast. I've been pleased both times with the purchases.
