I popped the pilot screw off my first carb. The kit I have looks like it has a replacement. Is there a reason I would want to put it back on? Doesn't seem like it would work its way out...

I think it's best to leave the caps out, for possible future fine adjustments...otherwise you're going to have to drill them out again if you need to adjust.
Nothing can get up in there to foul the jet, so there's no harm in leaving them out.

Thanks for the reply, that is exactly what I was thinking too, but wanted to confirm. I think that I really didn't need the rebuild kit. Just the gasket. We'll see how he other carb looks next week.
