I'm replacing my airbox on my '86 454LTD with a used unit because mine had cracked. Looking at the airbox (large airbox connected to the carbs, NOT the two intake snorkels/boxes), there seem to be foam gaskets that seal the air filter to the airbox. However I can't seem to find them in the parts catalog. New air filters come with a foam gasket, but that's to seal the filters to the two intake snorkels/boxes.
Mine are damaged and one is missing. Any help?

Welcome.I would think that you would need to make some using cork gasket material or thin foam.Alot of these parts have been discontinued & hard to find.

That's what I was thinking... oh well, time to get some foam gasket material and make new ones.

On the back of the airbox is a nipple. Does anything connect to it, a hose? Is it just a drain for the airbox?

Does a hose attach to it, like the carburetor vent?
