Hi Again, I am fitting my tank today and it has a vent pipe (I think) at the back of the tank should this have anything connected to it, it is just a metal tube underneath, also my petcock has two outlets I don't think it is standard do you think one should go to each carb or should I block one off. It is a vacuum operated cock so also has that connection.

What kind of tank is it? Split? Stretched? Brand? Kinda hard to advise using the description, as some tanks use metal tubes to connect both sides together, and other special little features...perhaps the second spot that looks like its for a second petcock might be for an internal fuel gauge sending unit etc. kinda hard to give accurate help without guessing not knowing what it is.

If it is a stock 454 tank, that is a vent for the tank/cap.....nothing attaches to it. If u are using some other tank, I have no idea, as I do not know what it came of of. On a stock 454 tank, there are two ports...larger one is fuel, the smaller one is for the vacum hose to the vacum port on the carb(s)...some have Td the two carb vacum ports together.
