Adjust the valves first, most everyone here will say that first. And welcome!

hello and welcome. i have a two part question for you. what type of oil are you using and what climate are you in? thick oil could also cause this problem if you are in a colder climate. seeing as the bike will start in the afternoon warmth and not in the cool of the morning. i agree with the previous posts saying to adjust the valves but if the bike goes from starting to not starting that quickly it might be something you changed. when its the valves you can usually feel/hear it coming.

Not as often as you think on these engines, armor. One day they can be fine, next day, totaly different.

i bow to eagle seeing as i have only owned mine 4 months. but i did notice a starting difference when i changed my oil to 20w40 from 10w30 for the summer heat ( Sacramento valley heat of the day but cooler mornings). sometimes when i start in the morning it bogs down and stops. then i start again a second later and its fine. i plan on doing a valve adjustment as well.
