So I was looking around for some ideas on modding a 2hp outboard I have for more get up and churn, and I ran across this heavily modded bicycle in the process. It is one of those standard Chinese bike motors fitted with Puch moped parts on the top end. The bottom end is all stock Chinese with a balanced crank. So what does that mean? A 1 HP motor has become 8 HP. Here's the dyno run:
If any one is interested in the build thread I'll post a link.

;D GWK built one with a 110CCengine, on a chopper bike frame(if u remember them..(24 inch, fat rear tire) custome springer front end, chrome frame..was a wild looking, downright fast lil bike! If I remember right, was even electric start. Think I have a pic or two of it somewhere, if interested.

Those were a Schwinn licensed by OCC weren't they? It's a rare bicycle to come across now. Sure Eagle throw it on up, I'd like to see it.

;D Thanks, William! Well...whatcha think, JB??? O, by the way....when William got the springer front end, he came to the conclusion that he thought the front end was heavy enough, and that it could be fairly easily adapted to our 454 frame. Some work would have to be done to fab "shoes" to fit a front wheel and brakes, but that would make a 454 look really look good!!

That's one heck of a nice job GWK it looks production instead of modified it's that clean. Thanks for going through the trouble of posting them up GWK and Eagle I appreciate the effort to get them here. I can't imagine what this site content once was, before it got well you know... That would have torn my heart out and and left me wanting vengeance. I wonder if there's any way to get the content back from the Way Back, or Internet Time Machine? They have nearly every website stored on their servers, they seem to have good intentions and mission statements. Eagle I agree that's a nice front end; the thought crossed my mind, to springer the front end of my 454, there's some very nice looking stuff to find off of those low rider bicycle websites, and they do have some motorcycle style chopper front ends; I was worrying about the steering stem and cup fitment if I went that route myself. GWK having one in your hands says a lot more than, what my looking at pictures from those sites do. I trust your fabrication skills enough, when you told Eagle that it could work with a little modification. I have had a lot of parts coming in for my 454 over this week and some arriving next week. Yesterday my suspension came in and my fenders came today. So I am going out to the workshop here in a bit, so I can get down to business Thanks for having a wonderful place for owners of the 454 to come and get educated GWK. ;D Eagle thanks for your patience and seemingly tireless effort on the board, I don't know how you do it Here's the link to the build from my first post: motorbicycling.com/showthread.php?t=14204

Took a while..read the entire thing...gotta admit, about 90% went over my head! LOL Yeah, the stem on that frontend would have to be changed. I will give u a "your welcome" from GWK...he has put tons and tons of work into this forum and website, and as far as I know, no one knows more about these bikes than he does, thats to include Kawasaki dealers (some have even contacted him for help)!! As for me, when I bought my bike, I knew absolutly ZERO about it, thought it was too small for what I wanted. Got to diggin on the internet, found GWK's website, from there, the forum (started by a young man in Australia, later turned over to GWK & incorporated into his website). The more I read, and the more I got the bike in shape and rode, the more impressed I became. Got to be good friends with GWK (now, same as family), went to Oklahoma to meet him, and the story continues. Probably 90 to 95 % of my knowledge of the 454, I owe to GWK, and have become just about as "passionate" about this bike as him, therefore, my "devotion" to this forum, and to helping those that have in the past, and will become, 454 owners. Yeah, sometimes I get frustrated at some of the "just learning" guys, but I hope they forgive me (being an "ole guy") and keep on keepin on. I'm certainly not the only one that makes this forum what it is, every member makes this forum..some more than others, sure, but Blaine, you, and others to numerous to mention, are what keeps us going.

Thanks,Eagle for the vote of confidence.I like you knew very little about this bike when I bought it.I had no idea what this bike was capable of.I now just want to give back to a forum that has given me so much & continue to improve on my bike.It takes everyone, new & old to make this forum what it is today.

It's nice to see you join the conversation Blaine It's nice to see active moderators on a forum, that contribute. I think that's what makes for a good family style board. I've been on other types where the moderators were mods as a job and modded many boards and had no interest in the forum they modded for; they typically seem to be trolls with random snide remarks to things they don't like, instead helpful and kind and also practically zero knowledge on the forum subject they work for...in those cases it seemed a lot like the mods needed moderation. It's really nice that that's not the case here. That is a very lengthy build post for that dyno bike video Eagle; it didn't seem to get really interesting until kinda deep into it, with the piston mods and head fitting etc. for me, I kept zoning out reading, until the posts started getting down to it. I may have to hop on here using the internet time machine, out of curiosity to what what kind of questions and problems you two guys were having in the beginning when new to the bike ;D I was planning on just an unveil instead of an actual build thread, I need to remind myself to document so I can throw the whole build up at once...I seem to just get down to business and forget about all of that when working. I need to figure out a garage situation. I'm really cramped, the house I'm renting has a giant useless hot tub taking up valuable floor space. In what would be a great shop. The tub doesn't work and also leaks, but for some reason the owner won't give a yes or no to the rental manager, so I can get it the heck out of there. I may just pull the build into the sun room, then figure out how to get it down 10 steps after it's done. Yay for renting....NOT! I'd buy a house here, but the little lady and I hate S.C. I told her we could always rent out the house we buy, through a rental management company after we haul it out of state; but she gets a little overwhelmed with all the work and process to do that. It's understandable though, moving everything twice within a short period of time isn't something I want to do either. Well, time to get to work...

Noooooo ....Don't "drop it" on us all at once! ;D We like to "watch" it come together, and some of us ole guys might get lost along the way, trying to absorb all the info! LOL Ya just start a thread say, in the Photo Gallery, and add to it as u go. Then, if needed, we can do a little "editing" out any comments from members that are not needed, to make a complete "album" of sorts. ;D ;D And I do know about having a good place to work! I have to do everything outside, in the gravel & dirt driveway..I Live "out in the country", not in "town"....and just in case u didn't know...it's HOT down here in S. Texas!! LOL That's the reason I aint gettin anything done!!!

Blaine you're welcome, your bike looks so clean I'd have never pegged it for a basket; nice work! I'm glad you're getting to do a lot of riding that far North where you have to go by riding seasons unless you're a super hardcore biker isn't my cup of tea, I like to ride year round too much. Not a fan of the cold up there and down here on the East coast the humidity isn't nice either, it's good we finally got some rain it's been nearly 2 months here with out any I think. Being a Canadian citizen seems to have some perks, besides it being a pretty country...can't you move anywhere the British empire has a foot hold without immigrating? Well, Eagle you'll be happy to know I haven't been able to do much because of rain for 2 days, so I haven't really gotten anywhere. I'll make a build thread instead of just drop it en mass. I need to do some organization and move it into my sun room/office. And just ramp it down all the stairs after it's finished. Trying to deal with the giant PIA hot tub in my way today just made me hang it up. I was going to flip it up on it's end; then drop it back down before moving out; but it's plumbed and wired through the floor. What I was thinking before I decided to sunroom it; might work for you Eagle...on ebay they have some 10x30 party tents that run about 130 shipped, that with some free pallets that are always on craigslist for a floor, a couple of pedestal fans and you'd be in better business, than a gravel driveway in the direct sun light. I have been to Texas 3 times; the first time I was in Dallas and the Big Sandy area for about 2 weeks, it was pretty hot, it had more greenery and hills than the cartoons I saw when I was little suggested it did. The 2nd and 3rd time was just driving through the little top part on I-40. Later today is going to be spent on organizing, I should be able to get a start on the thread with a few pictures up by late tomorrow night. Barring rain, procrastination, or something random. I should go do it now even thought it's late, it's cool out and not raining...hmm wheres my coffee?
