Thx! Unfortunately mine are missing most of the plastic/rubber housing so not much to Goop. Did you get the bike running?

I did! Although yesterday it wouldn't start I think I need a new battery. It might just be the pics but mine was very similar. You don't need much to work with -- you have to really build/Goop the mount up. You could probably Goop and entire replacement mount. It would be really ugly though. The stuff is really pliable though. It has the consistency of a cross between super glue and silicon caulk/sealant. Worth a try if you have the time to let it dry. I found some aftermarket lights, but they are about $25 ea. p.s. I have no affiliation with Goop. In fact, I am hard pressed to think of another use I would have for it. LOL

Before I decided not to use the stock signals, all 4 of mine were broken. I fixed mine by wrapping wire around the black portion then wrapped it up with fiber glass and applied resin to over the fiber glass. It worked, but I was never impressed with the look of the stock signals, so I went with an after market.

I picked up some goop after reading on the xj forum about rebuilding the turn signal rubber stalks with it. It sets up like rubber which means it is flexable so works well on the signal stalks. I tried fiberglass bondo with the fg cloth and was working well until one side was bumped and it got out of kilter. So I tried the goop and if given enough time to cure will hold just about anything imo.
I really like the stuff and am using it to put the frames together of my saddlebags I am building. I have one bag frame finished but will need to run to home depot and get another 1/8''x2'x4' board and another tube of goop. I gooped all the seams like rolling a caulking bead, only this stuff adds real strength. Will wrap the whole box with fiberglass and hope it comes out fairly wave free.
I will have a writeup of it a little later with pics.
