this is my 454 as it sits now i got it for very cheap really on a trade for something i paid 300 for and he was asking 800. Only had 16000 miles when i got it and started up but ran funny. It came to me with stock seat and sissy bar that i really did not like at all so it had to go. I re routed the wiring under neath the new seat and made custom mounts for the solo seat. The seat is a "Bad Donkey solo seat" By LaRosa it had one side cover so i just took the other off and no air box so it was claimed to have a dead spot and was running pod filters. My fix for this cost 4 bucks and can be done to any Stock jetted carb. i used Franklin flex soccer cones. they fit perfect in the pods cut the top part of and shove it in the pod. This restricts enough air to run pod filters and not have a lean mixture. I picked up a passenger pad for it to fit right behind the solo seat and stock Harley pipes i still need to fab on yet. the Ignition was re routed next to the overflow for antifreeze along with the start button the engine guards had some really custom fabbed bike pegs on them they do the job and are very comfy i plan on extending the controls to be Abel to be used with the pegs the way they are now. I pushed the hadel bars more up so i have to reach a little more then the stock set up and replaced the rear turnsignals with aftermarkets. This is all i have going right now I'm new to the cite and thought id drop off what i got and what I'm doing let me know what you think thanks! ;D

I guess it will depend on how you plan on riding, if it's just tooling around town straights are cool, out on the interstate no baffles will tear your ear drums out...but then again there's always ear plugs

well im young and well i like loud stuff what can i say its just me and the bikes is geared towrd a bobber. So i feel it needs to be loud but either way im going to see what the Porky Pig pipes sound like stock and if i want can always cut them out. I do have a question is to what size is the Header pipes on the 454 in Inches? im sure i could look this up but it be better to get a stright answer. If also do you know the size of the Porky Pig so i can get the right complings.

My sporty pips slide right on, i cut them jsut behind the cross over (stock pipes) i plan on just drilling holes about the center cone until i like how it performs and sounds, rather just pulling the baffle.

you have Porky Pig pipes on yours as well? yea i would have to cut at the cross over to make them fit and look right they are very long pipes not sure what Porky Pig they are off. But they are stock pipes and im going to have to get a converter piece to make them match to the ltd headers

you don;t need an adapter, you do need a short piece of pipe ( i think we went 12 inches) to get you out where you need to be. take a look at my build, Zombie hunter. I have a pic of it with the pipes on.

I have posted numerous times, the inlet size of the hardly d mufflers, and what is needed to increase the size of the 454 headerpipes to get any 1 3/4 inch inlet muffler to fit.

so you need a 1 3/4 in to fit the header and a 2inch to fit the Hurly exuast?

The harley mufflers I now use, and the Screamin Eagle hardlys I used before, were both 1 3/4 inch inlet...I don't know what you have. If you have 2 inch inlet mufflers, yes u would have to use adapters.

I had some off a late model, with the small extra holes on the sides for the "balance pipe" or what ever the right name is...the inlet was 1 3/4 inch, I think some of the late model "bigger hardleys" may have had larger inlets...I'm not a "hardly guy" so I don't know for sure.
