HI, I bench sync my carbs and it runs great when the motor is hot. But when I start the bike when the engine is cold the rpms drop to 0rpm until it warms up again. I live at 4000 ft elevation. Has anyone had this experience with their bikes or have some idea what's wrong with it?

Your question is a little confusing because at zero rpm's engines aren't running. I'll try to help...Warming up a bike until the rpms settle is a normal process, just hopping on and going when it's cold isn't a good idea...you can speed warm up time by adjusting the choke. If it takes longer than a minute or so to warm up then your oil is probably too viscous and you need a lower weight oil.

hi thanks for your reply I have the right oil in there Mobile 1 gold cap. It seems the petcock is leaking so much gas the carbs are flooding I am wondering why the floats aren't working now when they worked fine before?

Sounds like there are potentially two separate issues... first, the petcock not stopping fuel from flowing (engine is off or no vacuum applied) and second, the carb overflowing. The first is kind of irrelevant when the engine is running, since it’s the float valves that stop flow into the carb once a certain height of fuel is reached in the bowls. So when is it overflowing, after the bike has been sitting a while or when its running?
In either case the float valves are: sticking, dirty or are worn. I would try draining the bowls a few times (see if there is any crud) and if that doesn't clear it up, remove the bowls and inspect the valves.

I fixed the petcock the O rings were bad. I cleaned the carbs and the floats were out of adjustment and now the float bowl seals are bad I have them on order but the motor is not starting
