First of all excuse my pour english .. not so good at it . Second i need an advice about changing the camchain tensioner . The chain is preety new ( about 6000 miles ) but the sound on the top of the right cilinder is loud and metalic . Therefore i want to change the tensioner and i want to know if a tensioner from a gpz/gpx is good . Also i know that are two models of tensioner, one with a manual tensioned spring and another one without spring . Whitch one is the good one and how hard is to replace/ adjust the tensioner .
I wonder how can i know if the tensioner that i have on bike is worn and need to be exchanged or is not correctly adjusted ?

Your English is just fine. Don't worry about the noise...these engines require valve adjustment about every 4 to 5 thousand miles (do not know what that is in kilometers), and when adjusted right, they are kinda noisey.

these engines require valve adjustment about every 4 to 5 thousand miles (do not know what that is in kilometers), 3000 Miles = 5000 Kilometers.

When you get the valves adjusted, you just might discover just how good your bike will and can run.

No one can tell just from a picture, but this is the right one, and there is little that can go wrong with this type. I would say that you would be safe in getting it, especially if it is from a fairly late model engine.

I'm pretty sure i still have the original cct on my 454. Is the original not automatic? if not how often should the cam chain be "tensioned"?

The original is not automatic..You will know if you hear chain noise that it is time to adjust. The self adjusting one out of the new Vulcan/ninja is a much better design.

hi all just a general question on the subject of the cam chain tensioner, is the standard tensioner adjustable is so how? You need to adjust it manually....Directions in the manual......Thats why the new o=style from the Ninja/Vulcan is a better design..I postedabove how to change it.
