I have an 86 454 ltd that has sat outside for 3years and am currently in the process of trying to get it running... I got this bike from a women who was going through divorce and whos husband maliciously kicked this bike over and literally CUT OUT the battery...The positive and neg wires for connecting it are there, but there is just a bunch of cut wires that I'm assuming attach to the top? of the battery?? Would a used bike shop sell just that pigtail so i could splice it all together?? and what would those wires even go to?? I have never had a bike before, and have little mechanical experience so simple answers would be awesome...thanks

The positive and ground cables are there...ok...from your description of "bunch of cut wires", sounds like he cut the wires to the igniter. Is there a black box there, that should sit over the battery, with a connector with a "bunch of wires" going to it???

Yep...very important part.....bike is pretty much useless without it. You will need it, as well as the connector, and wires, which are part of the whole wireing harness for the bike. I should have one, and a part of a wireing harness with the connector, that I could cut off. U would have to splice the connector an wires onto your wireing....let me dig in my stuff to make sure. I will warn you...by ebay prices, this is not an inexpensive part, by any means (start at about $150 up to over $300).......however, I assure you, my price will not be anywhere close to those prices. I will get back to you asap.
