I think I found the fault on my bike? Found that the Bl/Y- G, Bl/Y-R/B, Bl/Y- Gray wires have connections together when testing the ohms through the 9 pin plug in the headlight bucket. The Ic Igniter connector has Y/R- Blue, Y/R-Green, Green- Blue have connections. I carefully removed the wiring loom removed all the tape but found no burn marks or evidence of shorting. Question can the wires be removed from the connectors and replaced? Thus making a new loom as the wiring is 28 years old. I've been going over this loom like a mad man trying to find why the negative connection on the battery flashed when trying to start my bike. At least

At least I've found where a problem is as I've been running blind so far. Oh and handle bar wires Y/Bl- Gray and Y/Bl-Green had connection too.
