The other day I went to start the bike, turned key to on, headlights and guages all lit up as normal, but when i hit the starter button there was a loud "click" then all power went out. After that, I tried turning the key off and back on, jiggling the keys, removing them and back in, but none of the power would come back on. Threw the battery on the charger just in case it was dead but still nothing. I can either roll start or jump the battery from a car, either way works, but starter button always leads to the "click" then loss of power.
*also unusual, if I put the key to the on position (lights and guages still off) and roll the bike back and forth a little sometimes the power will suddenly come on. Unfortunately though still won't start, just the usual "click" and off again.
Thanks a lot for any help, not good with electrical stuff.

Make sure that BOTH ends of BOTH cables are tight and free from corrosion. If they are, then you most likely have a bad battery. The "click" from the solenoid tells you that there is power flowing through the solenoid, but not out of it. The only reasons why electricity wouldn't flow out of it, would be loose connections, bad battery, or a bad solenoid. Most likely the battery is toast.

Thanks for the quick reply, I just took a look and sure enough one lead was loose and shorting on the frame in a spot. Tightened it up and its back to starting every time.
