I've got the bike running pretty decent except for the idle. I'm running rich on the left cylinder. I can screw the pilot jet on all the way and the left side will continue to idle and its still rich enough on the left side that its still flood smoking. So far i've pulled the pilot and made sure the o-ring and washer were properly placed and cleaned, and checked the slide, diaphram and needle. All are in good shape. Anyone have an idea as to whats causing this issue?

I got the carbs off and seperated (IIm replacing the fuel pipe and orings) and i can shoot carb cleaner through the entire pilot circuit. So it doesnt appear that its blocked. I did notice the tang for the float needle was bent down if you look at it with the carb in the upright position. It looked to be bent more than the other by a few millimeters. Could that be an issue?

yes, as that is an imbalance between the carbs in float height....if u understand what I mean....one carb float is higher than the other.

Oh yeah I understand. Makes sense now since the carbs were impossible to sync. I've corrected the float issue but im still running a little rich on that cylinder. With the pilot jet turned all the way in its still just a fraction on the rich side, but 100% better than before. No more smoke while idling and revving while warm. Im going to ride it a while with a jet screwdriver in my pocket and hope it clears up. Maybe a little seafoam in the tank would help? Thanks for the help so far guys, this thing is as ugly as homeade soap but its really doing a lot better than when i bought it thanks to info found here.
