I am not getting any power through at all battery is good it is reading 12.6. Went through with a volt meter power stops at the starter the positive cable is on the right of the starter and the negative wire is on the left is this correct? last night power would run through if I shook the speedo so I took it apart this morning to see what was going on and now nothing no rear fender light either. Anyone else have and thoughts or recomendations? would cleaning all connections be a good way to go? Or could it be the starter itself it came with the replacement engine.

I think i found issues. I had multiple gremlin issues that were intermittent. Starter not engaging, power to the whole bike cutting out and tail lights and head lights burning up. The bike was was recently restarted from a 4 year hiatus. So a lot of connector cleaning and re tightening, especially grounding points. also deleted the starter relay as it is redundant function. the starter solenoid pretty much does the same thing.. This was my wiring torn apart.

There is a ground that comes from the headlight to the negative Battery connection that one gave me some trouble you can find it in the manual it is black and yellow.

How did you bypass the starter relay?

disconnect the starter relay..( one next to the starter solenoid) and jump the Black/white wire and the black wire.. i used a piece of metal strip and stuck in to the connector.
